Latvia · Round Trip · Cat BE

BE unlocks heavier trailers — upgraded Epic Rig or a proper caravan

BE costs €400–550 and takes 4–6 weeks in Latvia. Lifts trailer ceiling from 750 kg to 3,500 kg solo (or combined train to 7,000 kg). Two paths from here.

What's good

  • Caravan stays at campsite during day; minibus is light + free for sightseeing
  • Best weather resilience — hard walls, real heating, real kitchen
  • BE is a permanent skill upgrade for whoever takes the course
Trade-offs
  • Need at least one driver willing to do BE before September (4–6 weeks)
  • Caravan must be collected from Vilnius — ~80 km detour each way
  • Towing a 1,500 kg caravan ~3,000 km adds real fuel + skill cost
  • Parking the rig in city centers is harder than 2× Californias

Greece · Round Trip · Cat BE

BE doesn't unlock much in Greece — same two paths as Latvia, but harder

Greek caravan and trailer rental supply is much thinner than Northern Europe. Both options here come with significant logistics caveats.

Market reality
No significant Greek peer-rental or commercial rental of folding tent trailers or caravans. The Greek market is dominated by full motorhome rentals (Rolling-Turtles, Camper Club, Indie Campers, Lunatrips). If you commit to BE, the Latvia loop offers vastly better trailer options.
